WASHINGTON-  U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) today announced nearly $2.3 million in port security and emergency management grants for South Carolina. 

South Carolina will receive:

• $1,500,905 under the Port Security Grant Program to enhance security and risk management procedures at Charleston Harbor.
• $794,378 under the Emergency Management Performance Grant Program.  These funds can be used to improve mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery capabilities for all hazards.

Both grants were awarded by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
