WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) today made this statement on the passing of former Senator Ted Stevens (R-Alaska). 

“I’m very sad to hear of the passing of former Senator Ted Stevens.  Senator Stevens was a decorated World War II veteran, and he was truly loved by the people of Alaska. 

“As the longest serving Republican Senator in history, he lived a life of incredible accomplishment.  He will be greatly missed. 

“I also want to extend my thoughts and prayers to all the families involved and affected by this tragic plane crash.”
