Statement from Senator Graham on Iraq Troop Levels
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham today made this statement.
"Yesterday, I misspoke when I said we will be, ‘somewhere around 100,000 troops’ in
Iraq by the end of 2008. I think we will be at pre-surge levels, about 130,000 troops, at years end. I have consistently said any changes or further reductions in troops should be based upon conditions on the ground and the advice of our commanders.”
